A modern textile factory was established in Bitias in 1935 by the Vosdayn Anonymous Textile Company, which had close relationships with the NSHARTVA Textile Company of Aleppo. Vosdayn, which lasted until summer 1938, employed male and female employees who worked on hand and electrical machines.
